The Range

Wayne put this in the letter I received yesterday. He said he went to the range to group and zero his weapon. He said his groups were really good, that means he is a real good shot with his rifle. He said his goal is 40 out of 40, but he at least wants to get expert which is 36 out of 40. If he gets that it will be another medal he puts on his ACU's. They will be out at the range for most of the next 2 weeks shooting. When I talked to him on the phone the other day he was ecstatic about this!!

This is the target that he shot at (they are both the same target, I was trying to emphasize the holes). He told me that his Drill Sergent even complimented him!! Most people only got to shoot 30 rounds, while Wayne was one of the lucky ones who got to shoot 75 rounds. He said it was a blast!! I am extremely proud of him for doing such a great job (and enjoying it as much as he does)!! I never had any doubts he would be awesome!!

On a sad note...my tomato plant is no longer around. We had a terrible storm last week and were in a tornado warning for more than an hour. The winds were excessive and proved to be too much for my poor little tomato plant. It is a little disappointing especially with how much time I devoted to that thing. Oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Maybe I'll try again next year, depending on where we get stationed at.
